My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! I`m Chewy, a 2 year old, 65 lb suspected lab/pittie mix waiting for my forever home at our Santa Barbara Shelter. I found my way to the shelter as a stray a few months ago, but sadly no one ever came to claim me. I was sad at first, but I quickly started making human and doggy friends and now I can`t wait to find my forever humans! I`m working hard on becoming the best boy to make that happen; I take treats nicely, love playing with other pups in the yard, and am always up for a game of fetch or just hanging out with my human friends for a good cuddle. I know a few basic commands (sit, shake, down) and can even catch treats mid-air! Yes, I`m a bit of an athlete you could say, hehe! My friends at the shelter are also working with me on my leash skills as I tend to get a little excited when I see other pups or passing cars when I`m out on my walks - it really helps that they`ve always got a bag of tasty treats handy while we`re out and about because I do love my snacks! My ideal home would be with a loving human or family that is willing to continue working on my leash skills with me, has a fenced yard for me to run around in and won`t mind giving me lots of belly rubs at the end of the day - I`m an active and affectionate pup and I hope I`m not asking for too much! If I sound like I could be your guy, come meet me at 5473 Overpass Road and I`m sure I`ll win you over with my charm!
