My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Banjo!

This sweet sweet boy should be named Prince Charming. He is a beautiful yellow Labrador Retriever, with the light features of a Dudley Lab. His pink nose and hazel eyes are stunning.

Banjo is estimated at 3 years old, but seems younger to us. He is 70lbs and a nice and slim lab! Banjo is a nervous, submissive boy who wouldn't hurt a fly. He seeks reasurrance from people and other dogs. He is housetrained, cratetrained and so well mannered.

Banjo came to us with his "brother" who is a mini-doodle and although they are not bonded, Banjo seems to rely heavily on following another dog's lead. He is nervous around young kids and would do best in a home with a confident dog and a fenced yard. We have not had him around cats.

This lovebug is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $400 and he is in St. Petersburg.

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
