Meet Barry!

This sweet little Blackberry, aka Barry, is the total package. He is just 30lbs, most likely a mini Doodle, and the cutest little guy. He is full of energy, loves playing and loves toys.

He came to us with his "brother" Banjo and although they are not bonded, Barry is the leader of the pack. He's very confident and a bit bossy with his brother, but he's a great dog. He is excellent for all aspects of grooming, we were so impressed!

We have not had him around other dogs other than his brother yet. We think that he would be fine as an only dog that is well socialized and has plenty of outlets for playtime or with another dog. He has been sweet with kids, but we have not had him around cats.

Barry is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and soon to be neutered. He is in St. Petersburg, estimated at 2 years old and his adoption fee is $400.

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
