My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm the spunky and shy, Armadillo. My buddy, Amelie, and I need to go home together. We came from a house with too many cats and were probably not socialized with people a lot in our early days. We are still young and we've made a lot of progress accepting humans into our lives. I like petting but get scared if you come at me too fast. I will smack your hand if it's coming too fast at my face. Once you start petting me I enjoy it and may give you some licks or a gentle love bite. I am just learning to purr. I love to play and that helps me to socialize with people! I need a quiet gentle home with no small kids to help me blossom. My socialization is a bit of a project but I'm making slow but steady progress.

My birthdate is 5/1/2024.

You are welcome to come into our shelter to visit the cats during our regular business hours before or after turning in an application.

Animal Aid of Portland is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue and welfare organization, passionately serving animals and the people they love since 1969. It is our mission to enhance the welfare of companion animals through individualized care and lifelong commitment, rescue and adoption, resources and education, and community partnerships.
