My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, meet Niño!

This sweet 1 year old boy was formerly known as Soulja Good Boy during his time at the shelter, and what a good boy he is. He has the kindest heart and the most soulful eyes and truly lives up to his former name of Good Boy. Niño has been in foster care for just a short bit of time and has already started to come out of his shell and show us that he's just a baby. He LOVES love and attention, and will ask so politely for more pets. He loves his new sweater, and is eager to show off that he knows how to play with his toys. He loves his toys and is happy to entertain himself by throwing them around himself and chasing after them. He adores a good post-walk zoomie and a nice nap time cuddle. He's got the tiniest body and the blockiest of heads and he will just melt your heart.

Here's what we know about this sweet boy so far:

  • COMMANDS KNOWN: Sit and Paw!

  • LEASH MANNERS: Niño checks to make sure you are still walking with him, and he does get excited to see other dogs on the street but is easily redirected with some kibble/treats. He is a little bit fearful of loud noises and will totally tell you where he wants to and does not want to go on a walk and is SO curious about the world around him in the most wholesome way.

  • DOG MANNERS: Niño very much so wants to play with other dogs, and he is very polite with other dogs after first sniff!

  • CRATE MANNERS: So far, Niño goes into the crate very easily if there is food in there, he will whine for a few minutes occasionally but settles down to sleep quickly! And what a cute snore we get as a reward :)

  • SOMETHING NIÑO LOVES: Food! This boy is a foodie at heart and would do probably anything for the gentlest bite of kibble or the smallest treat

  • THINGS YOUR FOSTER IS WORKING ON: We're going to work on pulling on the leash when he sees other dogs

  • POTTY DETAILS: So far, he is house trained and only goes outside for the bathroom!

Stay tuned as we get to know this adorable boy better and help him find his perfect forever home!
