My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dorothy!
This adorable granny joined our rescue when she was found as a stray in South Texas, drinking water from a disgusting algae filled bucket. She was so happy when rescuers came- she jumped right into the car and didn't look back. Dorothy was covered in mange, heartworm positive, and SO tired. After she slept for several days, she shared some snacks with another dog in her foster home, checked out the cats, and then headed to Idaho a few weeks later.
Dorothy has found her true calling as a princess that loves all things soft and comfy. She enjoys her baths, coats, and is super wiggly and friendly. The vet guesses that she is about 8. Although she looks quite old, she has a good energy level and is super happy. She goes to the dog park, and walks 1.5+ miles a day. Dorothy is ready to go with the flow.
Dorothy is well into her heartworm treatment (not contagious) and it's covered by the rescue at our vet in Meridian. We're excited to find her forever family!
Spay, microchip, current vaccines, and heartworm treatment all included in her adoption fee. She is available within an hour of Boise so that we can oversee her medical care until it's completed. Please start with the adoption application: freedomboundhounds.com/adopt
