Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Sara is a Basset Hound mix tricolor beautiful girl. We did a DNA test on her and she came back 40% Basset Hound, 20% Cocker Spaniel and smaller portions of other breeds. She was also born with a short tail. Sara is about 40lbs.
Sara was originally rescued by us last year, she was found as a stray being pregnant. She gave birth to 5 pups who all have been adopted, now Sara is looking for a forever home of her own!
She does well around other dogs and has been around kids as well. She’s overall a very sweet and lovable dog. She has mid energy level, she walks well on a leash, and loves to cuddle/chill time at home. She does need help with potty training though, she was adopted once but came back to us because the family didn’t have the time to fully train her, so we’re looking for a family who’s mostly home, that will have the time to train her to become an indoor pet.
Included with Sara’s adoption:
- Wellness exam
- Vaccinations up to date (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies)
- Rabies certificate
- Fecal test (Negative results)
- FLEX4 test (Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma and Lyme) (Positive for Anaplasma, she received treatment and is now Negative)
- Heartworm/flea/tick/dewormer preventive given up to date (Simparica Trio)
- Microchip with lifetime enrollment (AKC reunite)
- Spayed
- Some of her current food
- Dental cleaning and 1 tooth extraction done
- She had a wart by her right elbow that was surgically removed
- Entropion surgery was done in both eyes (her lower eyelashes were touching her cornea causing her discomfort and tearing)
- Full bloodwork panel done
- DNA/Health test results (Embark)
- Adoption paperwork
- Leash and collar
- Some of her current food
All her Vet care was done on July last year and she’s up to date on everything at the moment.
Pick up is in San Diego, CA. Transportation can also be arranged to the right home, depending on distance.

Additional adoption info
We set up an appointment to meet our available dogs that are ready to be adopted, with potential adopters after their application has been approved. If the dog is a good fit at the meeting appointment, the dog can go home the same day.
We also offer transportation options when the potential adopter is far away and can’t come to meet / pick up a dog from us. Feel free to reach out if interested in adopting but would need transportation.
