Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
We recently welcomed five sweet brothers into our care after their owner's home tragically burned down, leaving them at the local shelter. These sweet boys were born on January 12, 2018, making them 7 years old, they do not need to be adopted together.
Here’s a quick intro to each of them:
- **Yankee:** 62 pounds of charm
- **Leo:** A lovable 59 pounds
- **Reinhart:** Another 62-pound gentle giant
- **Scooby:** The smallest at 52 pounds
- **Casper:** The biggest brother at 66 pounds
All of the boys are about 15 pounds overweight and in need of a good grooming session, which we’re working on scheduling ASAP. Despite their rough journey, they were absolute gentlemen during intake—no issues with microchipping, vaccinating, or trimming their nails. We even managed to clean out some of the stickers from their beards.
These boys have already shown us their sweet, cooperative natures, and we’re excited to see their personalities blossom as we get to know them better. Stay tuned for individual updates, but in the meantime, if you’re looking for a loyal and loving new family member—or two—these brothers are ready to start their next chapter! IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.
Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt
All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.
ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.
Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport
We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

More about this rescue
We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.
Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.
Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
