Preston is a one year old hound/pointer mix. He is an enthusiastic, active, affectionate, snuggly, extremely smart boy. About 40 pounds with a beautiful soft coat. Housetrained, crate trained (does not love it but will go in willingly), walks well on a leash. Does well at the dog park. Can be a little protective of his handler on a leash when other bigger dogs approach but responds to correction. HIs ideal home would be an experienced owner with strong, consistent training skills. An active home with adults and older children that can give him that activity and mental stimulation to help him thrive. He is in local foster on Cape Cod and with approved application meet and greet can be arranged.

We are a group of volunteers who have volunteered in rescue for almost 10 years. We are so committed to rescue, spay/neuter, medical care for homeless dogs and wanted to make a difference so we started our own non-profit, 501c3, USDA approved rescue in Massachusetts. We work with rescue partners in Texas to address the growing incidence of animal homelessness.
