Miracle (F, 48lbs, 3yrs) truly needs a miracle as she has been waiting at a shelter nearby CT for over 132 days💔 She has spent holiday after holiday, alone in her run watching puppies and the more flashy dogs being adopted. She's such a love and such a good girl, doing amazing on her shelter behavior evaluation and managing the shelter environment well, as well as one can. PLEASE HELP us save her, reach out to learn more! She will come fully vetted including spayed and we would assist with transport!
A Little Bit About Me
My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Spending the day with Miracle was a gift because we learned so much about this brilliant girl. For example, we learned that Miracle thinks she is a tiny lap dog and though her perception of personal space leans more theoretical, her love and affection makes up for whatever gracefulness she lacks. We learned that Miracle dutifully stops to watch tennis matches like someone's paying her to referee. She loves to go for hikes and favors a Choose Your Own Adventure type of walk. She led us through fields and trails, earnestly checking in with a bright earnest face and hopeful wagging, tail seeming to ask if this was ok. If Miracle is leading the way, everything is more than ok. I'll never run out of good things to say about and while I loved her immediately, sometimes I forget how difficult it can be to make friends. It's why I respect that Miracle doesn't put all her cards on the table all at once. It took her a little time to feel at home, to feel loved and comfortable, welcomed for who she is. This is what we want for her to have everyday, so we hope you'll come to the Staten Island Care Center to meet her soon.
She pulls a little bit on the leash when she sees balls or other dogs. Looovvveeed watching tennis. I know this sounds entirely anecdotal but she did seem a little bit calmer in the shade than the sun. She's such a trail dog - she led us through this field and we saw horses and roosters. Miracle didn't bark at anyone, it was more like pulling toward them to see. It was love at first sight for me, but for the first hour or so she seemed really unsure about us, a lot of pulling and just kind of all over but once she settled, she really settled. Sitting in our laps, walking up to us with her tail wagging, just a dream.
