My name is Socrates!

Socrates was adopted from Glynn County and recently surrendered to us. Sad but interesting story. The owner`s dog had an altercation with another dog in the house. This set off a chain reaction, causing the dog to now go after and attack the cats. Of course, Socrates` philosophy is to get the heck out of there! He is a big black cat, but still not a match for a determined dog. Socrates is very unsure about being here, and probably life in general right now. It was difficult getting his photo, as he wanted to hide under the blankets. He never hissed or spit or anything aggressive. He just wasn`t sure what the heck we wanted. Socrates needs a family who can provide him with a safe space. He might well be fine with a nonaggressive dog. He also would be fine with someone who loves him unconditionally. Come and meet Socrates 11 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. Socrates is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for Fiv/FeLV. We`re convinced that with the right family Socrates will start thinking positive again!
