My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Spencer! I’m a 2-year-old Labradoodle mix (at least that’s what we think). I’m a versatile guy. I like the snow, I like car rides, and I love meeting new people. I’m very friendly. I’m almost 60 lbs and I love to play with dogs. Sometimes I get really excited when we are playing and I need a short timeout, but I recover very quickly. My foster mom uses a gentle leader to walk me and I caught on super quickly. I’m also very treat motivated and I like my humans to be happy, so training me is a breeze. I use a dog door and I haven’t had any accidents in my foster home. My foster mom is also teaching me about the crate and sometimes I even take naps in there on my own.

Spencer is being fostered in Aurora, Colorado.

Mile High Canine Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3, Colorado non-profit organization established in 2019. We are 100% volunteer run and foster home based. MHCR aims to provide abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs a loving home to grow and learn in until a suitable forever home is found. While in foster care, our dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested/treated, microchipped, and vaccinated. We rescue dogs from Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.
