GUEST DOG: Wiggles is not yet a DREAM dog and is being listed as a courtesy to a Good Samaritan / foster parent, to try to keep him out of the overcrowded rescue and shelter system. He has been neutered and is up to date on all vaccines and vetting. He is located in the greater Atlanta area.

Hi! I am Wiggles and I am looking for a new home. As you can see, I'm not a dachshund, but DREAM said I could be an honorary dachshund and they would help advertise me for adoption. I came to my foster home from someone who could no longer take proper care of me. At that time, I was kept outside or in a crate far too often. Now, in my foster home, I live like a KING!!! I love to romp and play, and I adore my doggy friends. I am house trained and stay in an extra large play pen in the kitchen when my foster mom goes to work (and I do very well in there.) I love to play with toys and even more, I love to cuddle and be in your lap. If you make me the center of attention, I will be the happiest boy ever. My foster mom says I am an absolute velcro boy and promise to provide my forever home with lots of love and laughter from me. I really would like someone who's not gone all day every day, and in my full dream environment, I'll have another dog who will play with me (as you can see in my video.)

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
