This helps Wolf Trap Animal Rescue with pet care costs.
Roasted settled right in and wanted to play with his foster mom's bigger dogs as soon as he walked in. They reciprocated and he bounces all over them. He follows the biggest dog around a lot and loves to go outside with him. They're all training him well, including when to stay away from the toys, the food, and the bed. He would do great in a house with another playful dog or kids to help him get out some of his energy. His favorite toy is anything he can chew and sliding an upside down glass bowl around the kitchen floor. It's the insert to his food bowl and he tips it to get it out and then goes crazy - see video. Roasted is a lovable pup who just can't sit still until he collapses from all the running around. He magically arrived mostly potty trained. He paws the door when he wants to go out and typically holds it until he does. Of course we still have accidents if no one responds quickly enough. He stays in a crate when his foster family leaves the house and he does not like it. They keep trying to show him what a comfy place it is to take a nap but he's not sold yet.
Mandatory in person transfer date: February 8th at the Petsmart in Tysons Corner between 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. All adopters must attend in order to finalize the adoption.
