My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rango is neutered and READY TO GO HOME!!!

Rango is our resident toy inspector. He loves to investigate his toys and then share his findings with his favorite humans. He loves to go on adventures and walks very nicely on a leash. He is a smart pup who has already mastered "sit" and knows how to take his treats with a gentle mouth. He is looking for someone who is up for teaching him new things and going on lots of adventures!

His previous adopted stated he is house trained and good on walks but was not a fan of the resident baby. He did nothing wrong other than growl, but better to be safe. A home with older children, or no children, would best set him up for success.

Although he is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $600 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment.

If you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Rango 255617".

He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and already neutered. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time.
