My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penguin was a stray for about 2 years and now that he's inside he is just a squishy rag doll.  He loves cuddles, belly rubs, adores other cats but please make sure they have similar health status. Penguin is positive for FIV and FeLV but with good food and indoor life his vet feels he can live a normal lifespan.  I don't know how he does with dogs, but he seems pretty shy overall until you pick him up and then he's a big lush. Literally the most affectionate cat I have ever met.  He is fine with another positive cat.  Penguin is estimated to be 4 years old.

I have given him 2 baths, clipped his nails, cleaned his ears and brushed him and he was a Saint through it all. Literally never even swiped or hissed at me. He was very clearly an abandoned house cat and he just wants to cuddle into soft blankets and nap all day. Penguin has bright green eyes with black fur and a white belly with white socks. He has a bit of scarring on 1 eye but it has been fully tested and his vision is 100% ok.

All of his medical bills have been taken care of and he is up to date.  He likes being held like a baby and cuddled for extended periods of time. Biscuit making champ. Have lots of toys, litter box and his favorite blanket to start you out with everything you would need.

Penguin lives in Beaverton with his caregiver and must be indoors only.  His rehoming fee is $100 and all his medical needs have been met.  Please give this super-loving young guy the quality life he deserves.

Additional adoption info

Adoptable cats and kittens are shown on our website with detailed profiles and pictures. Potential adopters must submit an adoption application for review and evaluation.

We require that adopted cats be mainly indoor cats and no declawing is allowed. Adopters must be over 21 years old and sign a contract that lists out his/her responsibility as the cat's owner.

More about this rescue

Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption.

Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.
