My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Puppies. We have many of them like Lucas. He is pretty timid in the new environment too. A cute, confused and sweet puppy. He was owner searching for anyone or anything familiar letting out the saddest little whimpers. Sigh. Lucas wasn't too interested in the things puppies should be and we don't blame him. He is a soft soul trying to make sense of what has happened. We are confident he will come around. He needs a little time and we will give it to him.

*Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL

*The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.

*All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.

*Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
