Mowgli aka Cowboy or Ole Bow Legs was rescued by the shelter and then pulled by us to give him his best shot at life. After some love, vetting, and good groceries he is looking and feeling so much better. If you are wondering, he got his nicknames because he had a condition where his wrists would pop out over his paws in a manner known as knuckling. With some morning stretching and good nutrition we have seen drastic improvements in his legs which we are absolutely thrilled about . We believe it was caused by the significant malnutrition & neglect he survived as a tiny puppy with maybe a hint of genetics. Mowgli can still play and frolic around like any other dog! He requires no special treatment; however, it is important to understand that he will never be an athlete or a good running buddy as excessive exercise is not recommended for his wrists. We believe a laid back home will be the best environment for him. Mowgli is so sweet and just loves to be loved on. He enjoys hanging out, watching movies, and relaxing in the sun while the humans piddle around in the yard . Mowgli is great with kids of all ages and he gets along with other dogs, cats, and farm animals. He is also crate trained. Mowgli is the goodest boy & he would love to meet you! Our adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate vaccines (3 rounds for Mowgli), vet check, fecal, neuter and a microchip.
