Meet Nimkii, the Thunder Pup!
This spunky 8-week-old male puppy is a delightful mix of hound and bully breeds, with a dash of shepherd thrown in for good measure! Nimkii, whose name means "thunder" in Ojibwa, is a whirlwind of playful energy and sweet cuddles. He loves to explore his world, chasing toys and snuggling up in a warm blanket with his favorite human.
Nimkii is a social butterfly who thrives on human interaction. He's currently living with three larger dogs and two cats, demonstrating his adaptability and friendly nature. He's eager to learn and is already working hard on his potty training and crate training.
Nimkii has a small umbilical hernia that will be addressed when he is neutered in March. This minor condition won't hinder his playful spirit or his ability to become a cherished member of your family.
Are you ready to welcome the thunder into your life? Nimkii is looking for an active and loving home where he can continue to grow and explore. He's sure to bring endless joy and laughter to his forever family.
Nimkii’s adoption fee is $425 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations appropriate at the time of adoption, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue’s care.
We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.northernlakesrescue.org

More about this rescue
Our Vision is to be a voice for those who are voiceless. We hear them with our hearts and give them a voice. Looking into the eyes of a rescued animal will speak volumes; watching those eyes light up will have an everlasting impact on you and the rescued animals.
We aren’t a typical rescue as we don’t take in dogs and put them in kennels until they’re adopted. All dogs we rescue are placed in loving foster homes that teach them to be the best dog they can be.
Our journey doesn’t end with adoption, either. We are here for you to support you in integrating your new member into your home, cheer new triumphs, and help with struggles.
