My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**In foster, so this animal is available for adoption but being housed at a volunteer's home.**
Meet Jinx! Jinx is a female chinchilla who is looking for a new home. She is friendly but timid. Jinx's favorite activities are finding a cozy corner to nap in and doing zoomies in a safe area like a bathroom. Chinchillas are inquisitive and with consistent handling can bond closely to their owner. They typically live around 10-15 years. Chinchillas are a high maintenance pet and require very specific care to keep them happy and healthy. They are active and need a large cage to exercise in. If you have owned a chinchilla or have done your research, apply for Jinx today!

Additional adoption info

Adopters must be at least 19 years old.

If you rent, you must have permission from your landlord and pet fees must be paid in advance.

If adopting into a family, we require all members of the family to be in agreement about adopting. For families that already include another dog, we typically require a meet and greet; this may be hosted on the GHHS property, or at the potential adopter's home.

Some animals may require a home inspection.

Verification of current pet(s) vaccine/vet records.
