Meet Homer! The Best Boy Ever!
Looking for a loyal companion who’s equal parts cuddle bug and chill buddy? Meet Homer, a 3-year-old, 30-pound sweetheart who’s ready to steal your heart!
Potty trained – no mess, no stress!
Loves people – your new best friend is waiting!
Laid-back & cuddly – the perfect Netflix & snuggle partner.
Best boy ever – seriously, just look at that face!
Homer is ready to find his forever home where he can soak up all the love (and belly rubs)! Could it be with you?
Homer is settling in nicely here at his foster home. He is just the happiest and sweetest little fella! He loves pets and booty skritches. He leans in to you when he sits next to you on the couch like just can’t get close enough. He’s pointy trained and knows his name and basic commands. His tail only stops wagging when he’s asleep!
I am a current owner of a 4 yr old jack Russell. We have owned him for 3 yrs now. I adopted him from Maury county animal shelter. There is absolutely nothing wrong with him. My situation is the current home we are living in has got a bad case of mold and we have had to fine another place to rent. After searching and searching, the only place we were approved and could afford has an absolute no pet policy. It has broken my heart because we love our dogs more than anything in this world. I have tried contacting the shelter but they are full, friends and family, adopt-a-pet, but no luck. I found you guys and wanted to reach out to you and see if you could please take my baby in and find him a good home. He is fixed, chipped, and up to date on all shots except rabies. We have to move next week. Thanks for reading and hopefully understand that only under these circumstances would I be willing to give my baby up.
Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.
Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else.
We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.
The application is the first step. Pleae complete the adoption (or foster) application here: https://www.russellrescuetn.com/application-for-adoption/
You will be contacted if further information is needed.
We are 100% volunteer powered. Volunteers process the applications and need time above their personal needs and full-time jobs to process the apps.
Please have patience. We do not have any paid staff members.
Our adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip.
Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.
