My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Flasher, a parvo survivor born on July 3, 2024, he is a medium mixed breed, currently weighing about 13 pounds (Dec. 2024). He comes from a litter of 7 and is one of only 5 survivors. Flasher is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. This sweet and loving boy loves cuddling and following you around.
He loves playing with his squishy toys and carrying them in his mouth. Flasher does well on long car rides, laying on the passenger seat and gazing at you.
He is kennel trained, and potty trained.
Flasher lives with dogs of all sizes and gets along well with them all.
He would make a great solo dog as long as he’s included in most aspects of his human's life. We will give preference to a home with fully fenced yard and would prefer a home with children over age 5. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.

Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.

We depend on a network of volunteers and fosters for the care of our dogs. The dogs are fostered primarily in Tri-Cities, WA. We often have Meet 7 Greet events at Petsmart and Paws Natural Pet Emporium LLC both in Kennewick.

"Mikey's Chance" is a dog rescue organization organized under Washington State articles of Incorporation as a Non-profit Charity. We focus mainly on saving dogs that are at risk or on “Death Row” in shelters in our area, and placing them to great families. We work with individual adopters, private rescuers, and rescue organizations that share our values. All our dogs are up to date on shots, sterilized, and microchipped prior to adoption, and they are all carefully evaluated to ensure the best possible match with adopters.
