Meet Scottie!
Scottie’s story is one of resilience and hope. This beautiful girl had a tough start in life, but thanks to a kind man who rescued her as a tiny kitten and cared for her for six months, she’s now ready to find her forever family.
Scottie is a little shy and tends to hide at first, but with patience and gentle attention, she blossoms into a loving companion. Once she trusts you, she adores being petted and enjoys playful moments.
She gets along wonderfully with other cats, especially her foster mom’s cat, with whom she loves to wrestle and play. Scottie would do best in a home with another cat friend. Scottie has a unique coat pattern adding to her charm and beauty.
Scottie would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can continue to build her confidence and share her gentle, loving nature. She would do best in a home with a friendly, playful cat to help her feel secure.
If you’re looking for a special companion who just needs a little extra love to shine, Scottie could be the perfect fit for your family.
Are you ready to give Scottie the loving home she deserves?
Scottie is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
