Meet Stripes: A Gorgeous Senior Tabby with Mesmerizing Green Eyes!
Stripes is a stunning 9-year-old indoor tabby who is fully litter box trained and spayed. She’s a cat with a big personality and an even bigger heart! Stripes loves to play—whether it’s chasing toys, scaling her cat tree, or engaging in a game of tag around the house. Her playful spirit shines as brightly as her beautiful green eyes.
When she’s not busy being active, Stripes shows her affectionate side. She adores snuggling and will often perch behind you on the couch or nuzzle your cheek for pets. Her charm doesn’t stop there—Stripes is also quite the conversationalist and will happily chat with you if you meow back at her!
Stripes would prefer to be the only cat in your home, where she can soak up all the attention and love. She’s ready to bring joy, companionship, and plenty of playful energy to her new family.
Could you be the one to give this lovely senior tabby the forever home she deserves?
Stripes is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
