My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luna is a fun and funny girl with a unicorn personality. She takes just a few minutes to warm up, but given the chance, she will soon show you she has a few tricks under her belt. Luna knows basic commands, can spin and shake. Luna is great with dogs of all sizes, crate trained, and loves to spend time with people. She loves car rides and would make a wonderful travel companion.

Luna's foster mom says she "should really be named Mary Poppins, because she is practically perfect in every way. She's friendly with everyone she meets, including cats, chickens, and the goats next door. She's housebroken, and knows tricks. She would LOVE to sleep on your bed with you, but if you object she gets right down and sleeps on her own. She's fun, active, likes kids, rides nicely in the car and is looking for her forever home."

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also partner with Ziggy's Cat Lounge in Bremerton for our cats and kittens.

More about this rescue

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America.
