My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Olive. I am 40 lbs but don't let the number nor my pictures fool you. I am pretty small compact girl. You could probably call me almost a pocket pitta if you wanted to! I am about 2 years old and a beautiful brindle. I was a very lucky girl in 2024 and hoping to make my 2025 even luckier. I was pulled by a rescue partner of ASCZ's from the euthanasia list... at that time, I was pregnant. Thank goodness my wonderful foster stepped up for her. I had my puppies who are now all in great homes! It's is now my time to find a home. This is my deal - I am good with other dogs and live with various shapes and sizes. I do need a little time to warm up but then I am good to go. My new owner needs to understand a little bit about dog to dog intros and not just throw me into any situation. I am not reactive on walks, I am not aggressive. I just like a little space at first (we all can relate). I have been around kids of all ages and I am affectionate and comfortable with them. I am also good with cats and live with them too. I am housebroken, crate-trained and I walk well in my little harness. I just love people and I am always down to snuggle! Interview

ASCZ will contact you for a phone call within 72 hours after submission of your application. Please check your spam for our emails!

Additional adoption info

Please email info@asecondchanceforziva.com for an adoption application if interested in adopting or fostering a dog from ASCZ and please email us after you have submitted an application. After all checks on the application have been completed, the potential adopter will speak with the rescue to discuss what they are looking for and if a dog will be a great fit in their home. Once an application is submitted, the adopter will hear from the rescue within 72 hours.

The fee for puppies under 6 months is $525 and the fee for dogs 6 months and older is $425. This fee contributes to (but not limited to) all core vaccinations for each puppy/dog, microchip, spay/neuter, HW testing and prevention and flea/tick prevention while under the rescue's care and transportation.

ASCZ rescues, cares for and adopts out homeless dogs into loving and responsible homes. The rescue does not have a shelter but rather we rely on devoted fosters that open their homes and provide love and comfort to our dogs.
