🐾🤎🖤🌴Meet Paige, a “Sato dog” from Puerto Rico! A “Sato dog” refers to the small to medium-sized stray dogs on the island. Island dogs are smart, loyal, highly trainable, and thrive on routines and consistency. They have wonderful demeanors, make devoted companions, adjust well to their environments, and are a perfect mix of energetic and affectionate. There is no love like the love of an island dog!
(Update 2/10/25): Paige and her 5 siblings were found on a beach/surrounding Punta Santiago, PR. One of her siblings was dumped on the beach in a trash bag. Thankfully, she was rescued followed by locating the other puppies. It’s incredible after what they go through how trusting and loving they remain. Paige is a sweet, outgoing, and spunky soul. She has a bright personality, full of energy adores meeting people, and enjoys companionship. She loves to cuddle, thrives with confidence, and has adjusted with ease in her environments. Paige is doing well learning all puppy-training concepts including: Basic leash training, potty, and crate training. She has caught on quickly to both day and night time routines. She shares her current foster home with 3 dogs and was previously fostered around cats-with no issues. Paige also spent some time around a 2-year old and was enthusiastic about it. We see no issues interacting with kids, with proper introduction. (The mother and father of the litter is unknown).
