Meet Sponge, a 1-year-old bundle of energy and fun! ?? Sponge is a playful, treat-motivated pup with a ton of personality. He’s a young, enthusiastic dog who loves to jump, run, and play—he’ll need an active home that can keep up with his energy levels! Sponge loves his walks and is easy to leash up, though he can pull a bit on the lead due to his excitement. He’s also very treat-driven, which makes him easy to train with the right motivation.
Sponge went on a doggie day out adventure on 1/24 and did amazing! Here is what his person had to say Very friendly. Polite. Loves having his head held and scratched. A little nervous around some things. Very nervous to get in a car. Needed to be carried in each time, but maybe he has just never been in a car before! We walked around McKinley Park. Very interested in other people and dogs. Then we walked to Temple Coffee on H St. where he got lots of attention but was pretty busy the whole time despite the 2mi of walking at that point. Sponge was great!
Sponge has a rough and rowdy play style, especially when interacting with other dogs. He loves to chase, play bow, and show off his athleticism, but he may not always pick up on other dogs’ signals when they need a break. He’s still learning the ropes of proper doggy etiquette, but he’s very social and loves to have fun with his canine pals.
This active young boy is looking for a home where he can get plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and continued training. He’s a fun-loving pup who will make a great companion for an experienced dog owner willing to help him refine his manners. Sponge’s boundless energy and playful spirit will keep you on your toes—could you be the right match for this fun-loving guy?
