Online Adoption Application

Simba is a sweet (estimated) 8 year old neutered boy who was rescued about a year ago from a hoarding situation, and most recently, left with a foster for 2 months so he wouldn't have to go back to the shelter while his owner figured out his housing. Unfortunately, due to his living situation, the owner is unable to take him back, so he finds himself in need of a forever home.

Simba shared his home with 2 young children who Adored him, and has been fostered with 4 female dogs who he loves to play with. He's been around male dogs as well, and while he doesn't bother them, unless they're submissive, his way of playing (barking in their face) could cause an issue so he'd be better with females. It is unknown how he is with cats.

He has a lot of energy, which makes me think he may be a bit younger. But he also loves his humans,  will follow you everywhere, and is always up for relaxing in front of the TV. He's completely housebroken, and uses the doggy door like a champ. He's treat motivated and takes them gently, and lets his housemates get theirs while waiting his turn - quite a gentleman! He'll bark to let you know if there's something you need to know about that you might have missed, but is otherwise a quiet dog.

He takes a few minutes to warm up to new people, but treats will speed up that process. He can't wait to meet you!

More about this rescue

About
Animal Advocates is a ffoster based rescue whose purpose is to secure animals from local high kill shelters, euthanasia lists, as well as intervening when an individual is no longer able to care for animals in their possession.

Mission
To save those we can, when we can, as often as we can...one paw, one hand, one voice.

Company Overview
We have no "kenneled" facility that houses our animals. We have dedicated fosters who incorporate these animals into their families. This dynamic allows us to fully evaluate the animals in a variety if settings to ready them for their forever homes.

Description
We educate the public regarding the importance of spay, neuter programs and provide low cost alternatives to basic veterinary care. Behavioral and nutritional information is also addressed...we always encourage to adopt..not shop. When possible we assist families by providing information that with effort will allow them to keep these gentle souls and retain their pets.

We have foster homes in Seminole, Orange, Volusia, Brevard, Lake and Osceola counties.

General Information
All of the animals available for adoption have been spayed/neutered and micro chipped, all have current vaccines including rabies (if old enough). They are maintained on both flea had heart worm preventative. Any medical as well as behavioral issues have been addressed and are fully disclosed before the time of adoption.
