My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Snowball!

Snowball is a sweet and lovable 2-year-old miniature poodle mix weighing just 12 pounds. This gentle girl has been through a lot in her young life—she was found pregnant and has proven to be an incredible mom. Now that her puppies are thriving, Snowball is ready to find her forever home where she can finally focus on being pampered and loved!

Snowball is the full package: she's crate trained, house trained, and leash trained. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, making her an ideal addition to a multi-pet household. She also does well with children but would be best suited for a home with older kids who can give her the patience and gentle care she deserves.

Though she may be a little shy at first, Snowball's sweet and affectionate nature shines through once she feels comfortable. She’s the kind of dog who will snuggle up with you on the couch and be your loyal companion for life.

If you're looking for a loving, well-mannered dog to complete your family, Snowball is waiting to melt your heart! Could you be her happily ever after?
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 16, 2025, 10:22 pm

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
