Meet Scarlett! This sweet and happy girl is estimated to be around 2–3 years old and weighs 47 pounds. While the shelter listed her as an Aussie mix, we think she might have a touch of Great Pyrenees in her based on her gentle demeanor and fluffy coat.
Scarlett came to us from a difficult situation—a hoarding case involving dozens of cats. When she arrived, her fur was matted, and she carried the scent of cigarettes. Despite her rough start, Scarlett has blossomed into an affectionate and loving companion.
She is currently living in foster care with dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as cats, and gets along wonderfully with everyone! Scarlett is still working on her potty training, so she will need a family willing to continue helping her as she settles into her new home.
Scarlett is a little camera shy since her glamorous grooming session, but we’re sure she’ll show off her beauty in no time. Better photos coming soon!

Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.
