A girl who knows her own mind!
Meet Babs! Babs is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).
Born on November 6, 2024, sweet Babs is a young Doberman Pinscher mix puppy and part of our Looney Tunes litter. She has the classic black and rust Doberman coloring, and we estimate she will be a large dog when full grown. And those ears? Her ears are floppy, funny, and frame her face in the sweetest way. Babs traveled with her mom and eight siblings from a shelter in Devine, Texas to find a new home in the PNW area.
Funny little Babs gets her name from a bunny character in the Looney Tunes universe. Like her namesake, she is cheerful, lovable, and irrepressible. This affectionate, loyal little girl knows her own mind and what she wants. Babs loves to be with her people; cuddling is tops on her list of things to do. She also enjoys giving kisses and being held like a baby (hard to resist doing this because she is so cute!). Babs is an active puppy who thrives on mental and physical activity, and it delights her when you join in with the antics. Though still young, she prefers playing to napping, and the kids and other dogs in her foster home are great companions for romps and explores. Babs relishes puzzles, treat balls, and games that challenge her. Running around outside gives her much joy, and she has yet to meet a stick or leaf she didn’t enjoy playing with. Like many short haired dogs, Babs is not very fond of the cold; she would appreciate some stylish outerwear for the cold and wet season. After playing, she is content to snuggle in your lap while she recharges.
Babs is picking up new skills and has started crate training (she would rather be with you, but she’s settling into it), and she has begun potty and leash training. Babs will start obedience shortly; with her smarts and intense love for food, she should pick it up quickly.
Babs’ ideal home? It might be yours! Babs seeks a home with people to love who will adore her and see that she gets the physical and mental activity she needs to be a happy, well-rounded pup. Games, toys, food, and people to cuddle would be high on her wish list, along with opportunities to explore and play outdoors (and a dog coat, if the weather is cold). A friendly pup, she will thrive in a home with dogs, cats, and children. If you are looking for that loving, sweet, funny, pup who will be both a workout buddy and lap warmer, she’s the pup for you!
