My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Scooter! This handsome guy came to us on a transport out of Kansas. Unknown to us, he was seized from the backyard of a home that had way too many dogs and was not socialized much at all. We have had Scooter for some time, working with him. He has come a long way from that shaking, shy boy in the corner of his kennel, however he still keeps his distance from people. He is however getting better about taking treats from people and he is letting his main caregiver pet him at arms reach. It's been a very slow process and we feel he might do better in a home where he can get more one-on-one attention to help him. He is ok with cats and does great with other dogs and really enjoys playing out in the play yard with his friends. We do feel that he needs to be adopted into a home with another dog to help him with the process and learning from the other dog(s). Scooter's big thing is that he needs someone who is willing to work with him for a long time to overcome his shyness. We will be working on some social media videos so you can see how he interacts and does with other dogs. If you have a space in your home and your heart for this special boy, please do reach out to us! Applications for Adoption are found on our website pet-tracs.com and by submitting that document, we start the conversation with you about him and potential adoption, Thank you!
