Meet Penny! Penny is a 6-month-old Hound mix with a beautiful blonde and white coat. This playful and affectionate pup is full of energy, curiosity, and an eagerness to learn. Penny loves toys, playing with other dogs, spending time with kids, and showing off her smarts during training sessions, especially when treats are involved! While she’s still getting used to new surroundings and discovering the world, Penny approaches everything with curiosity and excitement. One of her most endearing habits is the way she keeps herself entertained when alone and her hilarious, heart-melting sleeping positions. Penny is making great progress on house and crate training and is learning her puppy manners. She’s a quick learner who already sits nicely when treats are in the picture. She enjoys playing with other dogs and has shown she’s adaptable, responding well to their cues when playtime gets too energetic. Penny would do great in a variety of homes whether laid-back or bustling with activity. She’s a wonderful match for families with older kids who can join her in play and help her continue learning. With her bright personality and eager-to-please nature, Penny is perfect for both first-time pet owners and experienced ones alike. Penny is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Contact us at adopt@carolinapaws.com to adopt her!

More about this rescue
Carolina P.A.W.S. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization comprised of a network of compassionate Carolinians, all of whom are volunteers. We are devoted to helping abandoned and abused cats and dogs throughout the greater Charlotte area find loving homes. CPAWS does not have a facility and relies entirely on volunteer foster parents to care for an animal until we are able to find a pet their forever home. Our founding members have been collectively involved in animal rescue for over 20 years.
Carolina P.A.W.S. volunteers can be found "in the trenches," rescuing animals at high risk- those starving on the streets, languishing in shelters, and suffering in abusive situations. Each animal has a different past but our promise to them all is the same…a second chance. We provide them with medical attention, rehabilitate them physically and emotionally, and care for them in foster homes until they can be placed in loving permanent homes.
Along the way, we prepare them to become wonderful companions by taking the time to socialize them and patiently teaching them to trust. We also spay/neuter each one, provide all inoculations, and ensure that they are in perfect health before being made available for adoption.
