My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All the wiggle, wiggle, wiggle sure made it hard to get a picture of Mehana! She is estimated to be about 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds, she will have much cuter pictures coming soon.

There is just so much to love about Mehana, such a sweet girl who is looking for a forever home. She is still a baby and all puppyish, but she is incredibly affectionate, she craves to be close to you. Despite being found left tied up in a back yard with nothing, she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. Though she can be a little shy and submissive at first, once she warms up to you and knows your touch won't be harmful, it's hard to get her to leave your side. She loves a good snuggle, especially if it involves your lap, and will be sure to melt your heart with her loveable demeanor. Mehana really needs a leader to rely on, to guide her and help with building her confidence. With patience, love, and care, Mehana will flourish and bring so much joy and silliness into your life. She will need a home where any children are at least 4 years old.

If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Mehana would love to meet them. She has a soft, loose approach with other dogs and is very playful!

If you are interested in Mehana and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
