My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Millie is a beautiful, sweet, quirky, bibbed tabby.  She was rescued from living outside and was very young and pregnant.  She was a great mommy to her two babies who have been adopted and now she is waiting for her own forever home.

Millie is both affectionate and independent.  She can stay alone for periods of time but is also happy to greet you with a melodic trill when you come home.  She is always purring and willing to engage in play or lap time, whatever is your pleasure, and is most content when she is in the company of humans, even if she is just sitting next to you. She is friendly and not shy towards visitors and has a very calm, trusting and tolerant demeanor.  She likes to be held, will follow you anywhere and has even let her foster mom trim her nails while sitting on her lap with no reaction at all.

Millie is happy to entertain herself with epic sessions of  'the Zoomies'  where she will race around, tearing through her cat tunnel and pouncing on her toys, seemingly all at the same time.  She is full of energy and curiosity.  She wants to know what is behind every door or how she can help/supervise any job you may be doing.  Having come from living outside, Millie is in the process of learning 'House Cat Etiquette' such as where she can and cannot scratch or jump on to.  She is a quick learner and listens well and seems to understand a gentle 'No'.

Possibly due to some bad experiences with cats while she was outside, Mille does not like other cats and must go to home where she will always be the only pet.  It is unknown how she would be with dogs.

Millie is estimated to be about 1 1/2 to 2 years old however her size and energy level seems to suggest that she is on the younger side of that estimate.  She is currently being fostered in Middlefield. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org.

Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.

Meet the Pet

We are a foster-based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our volunteers.

**Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are offered at a reduced fee in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Foster and Forever Pet Rescue!

NOTE: For the safety of our cats and adopter’s children, families with children under 5 years of age will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Go meet their pets

All of our pets reside in foster homes. We do not have a shelter. Once an application is approved (for any cat), arrangements can be made to meet the cat of your choice.

More about this rescue

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services and all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies, and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes. For additional information, visit our web site at www.fosterandforever.org, and be sure to check us out on Facebook and Instagram.
