My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Scout. I've got a heart as warm as a sunbeam and a nature as soft as a feather. I'm a bit shy, but once I get to know you, I'll be your loyal companion. I love to snuggle up for a cuddle, purring contentedly. I'm FIV positive, but don't let that deter you. I'm a mellow fellow, happy to lounge around and keep you company. I'm gentle and friendly, always ready for a soothing stroke or a quiet chat. My purr-fect home would be with someone who understands my condition and cherishes my sweet, loving nature. Adopt me and let's create our own cozy corner of the world. Apply at ghhs.org

Additional adoption info

Adopters must be at least 19 years old.

If you rent, you must have permission from your landlord and pet fees must be paid in advance.

If adopting into a family, we require all members of the family to be in agreement about adopting. For families that already include another dog, we typically require a meet and greet; this may be hosted on the GHHS property, or at the potential adopter's home.

Some animals may require a home inspection.

Verification of current pet(s) vaccine/vet records.
