MARMALADE!

Sweet, Sensitive, Serene, Sidekick

Marmalade is a gorgeous female orange tabby with an amazing, sleek coat. She was born in the spring of 2023 so she’s a little over 1-1/2 years old now. This beautiful girl had a rough start in life. She came from a trailer park where she was bred during her first heat, at 4-5 months of age. She raised her babies while she herself was just a kitten. Luckily for her there were kind people who helped her and her babies.

Once the kittens grew up and found safe homes, it was Marmalade’s turn to learn what life beyond the trailer park held for her. Her foster mom describes her as being very feminine and petite, with a very youthful look about her. (I should be so lucky.). We are told that Marmalade has a submissive personality. She wants no trouble with any animal or person, and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. While she was under-socialized when she was initially trapped, she was always considered to be shy and not feral, from the start. Today she enjoys getting pet by her
foster mom, has a great working purr box, and in general is a very happy, sweet kitty who has occasional skittery moments if something startles her. Then she recovers and moves on.

Marmalade loves other cats! She will nap with them, hang out with them, eat with them, and never is confrontational. She has zero drama. (I should be so lucky,). Marmalade also likes dogs! She likes little dogs! She even is great with nice big dogs! She would NOT enjoy living in a home with children, however. She definitely needs to have another friendly kitty to hang out with in her new home.

Marmalade’s litter box habits are perfect. She adores her cat tower at her foster home where she watches life outside the window and naps with the other kitties. She’s described as a very calm kitty who loves to be pet gently. She is extremely healthy. She eats a combination of raw food and canned cat food. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV.
