My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Candy and I'm about 7 1/2 months old. I was found at a nearby campground with another kitten and I was rescued and brought to Bond County Humane Society so I can find a loving furever home. I have an unusual gait, somewhat off-balance and unsteady. The BCHS staff suspect that I have cerebellar hypoplasia which has affected my walking. I enjoy being picked up and snuggled; you can hear me purr. I like to run and play with the other kittens in my room. I enjoy playing with the sparkle balls. I am available for immediate adoption. I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped. My adoption fee is $130. Additional adoption info

Our adoption process requires the completion and approval of an adopter's profile form. This form can be obtained in person or on-line at our web site, www.bondcohs.petfinder.com. It can be completed and e-mailed to the address provided for review. We have a standard adoption agreement. Dog adoption fees vary depending on breed, and age of dog. They generally range from $125 to $250. Cat adoption fees are $90 for kittens (under 1 year of age), $55 for adult cats that have been housed at the shelter for 1 year or less. Adoption fees for cats that have been housed at the shelter for multiple years are by donation.

We conduct off-site adoptions on Saturdays at the following locations:

PETCO - Fairview Heights, IL
Every Saturday, 11-3 (except holiday weekends)

Shelter hours are 1-5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Sunday is ONLY by appointment.
