My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I`m Sandy, and I recently went on an adventure with a very nice volunteer. We took a walk in the park, and let me tell you, I was excited! I always go outside to do my business, so I had no trouble finding a spot during our adventure.

I met a few new people along the way, and I was definitely excited about it. I can get pretty exuberant when I meet new faces—I might pull on the leash, bark, whine, or jump around a bit. When I met some kids, though, I was much softer and wiggly. I loved getting attention from them and wagging my tail. I’m great with kids, and I really enjoy when they pet me.

I also met some other dogs, but I’m not too interested in playing with them. I mostly ignored one of the dogs we encountered, and sometimes I do get a bit aroused and hyperactive when I see other dogs on a leash. If I’m close to another dog, I might growl a little, but it’s not always the case. I can be a bit unpredictable in that way, but I’m learning to be more calm around them.

I`m a medium-energy guy, so I’d be happy with a nice walk or a run—anything to help burn off some of my energy! On our adventure, I didn`t go potty much, but I did stop a lot to pee. I did great when we visited a local outdoor patio, too! I was calm and relaxed, just laying on the ground, and I even got some attention from a family with little kids nearby. I love when people stop to talk to me!

A little about me—you should know that I *love* car rides, especially with the windows down! I also really enjoy tug-of-war, although fetch is not my thing. I might be a little unpredictable when it comes to my back feet, though. The groomer tried to trim my nails, but I wasn`t having it and tried to lunge at her. So, yeah, we didn`t go back for the nails after that.

But overall, I’m a sweet boy who loves attention and affection! I’m great with people, love my walks, and I’d be so happy to have a family who understands my quirky side. If you`re up for a snuggle or a tug-of-war session, I’m your guy!
