This right here is January`s favorite Babygirl!

Babygirl is a white and brown Pitbull mix female approximately 3 years of age. She came to us through an unfortunate situation where the owner could not properly care for her. She was very frightened coming into shelter life but has adapted very well and has stolen all of the hearts of all her human friends here.

Babygirl loves to get pets and scratches and does very well playing with both male and female canine friends. However, if you have feline friends at home, Babygirl will not be able to join you, I`m sorry.

Although she doesn`t know any commands just yet, she is willing to learn and loves receiving praise more than treats for listening well. She is just learning about toys but enjoys sleeping on her comfy beds.

Please come and open your hearts up to Babygirl today. You`ll find her as sweet as we do and JUST in time to be your forever Valentine.

If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.

Submit Application

Interview

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
