Meet Christopher! Christopher is a curious and affectionate 7-year-old cat looking for a cozy, loving home where he can be the center of attention. He is a very outgoing cat and loves to seek people out for attention. Have you seen his beautiful long whiskers? And his big soulful eyes? He`s a lover for sure! His favorite things in life include playing with toys, receiving gentle pets, and having his head scratched. Christopher gets along well with other cats, so he would be a wonderful addition to a multi-cat household. However, he’s a bit unsure about dogs, so he’d probably prefer a dog-free home or a family with plenty of patience for slow introductions. If you`re looking for a calm and affectionate companion to share your home with, Christopher might be the perfect fit for you. Give him the time and space to adjust, and you’ll be rewarded with a loving friend for life. You`ll notice that Christopher has some thinning fur on his back end. That is due to him having a flea allergy. He has been treated for fleas and as long as he stays flea free his fur will grow back in no time! Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

Approve Application
Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

Sign Adoption Contract
If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

Pay Fee
Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.
