Oakley James is a sweet natured middle-aged man at 7 years old. He's a yorkie mix who weighs 8lbs. Oakley is a quiet and independent little guy who enjoys hanging around the house or wandering around the yard on a nice fall day. Oakley is quiet in his kennel and enjoys the warm, secure space for his naps and night time. He is house trained and will wait at the door to tell you he needs to go outside. He will need continued training and consistency in his new home. Oakley came to CAMO Rescue from a local shelter in really rough shape. He had a terrible skin infection, infected ears and severe dental disease. Due to Oakley's ear infections being so bad and resistant to antibiotic treatment, he required a TECA procedure on both ears. Oakley is now unable to hear but he has adapted so well to this. Oakley is such a gentle little guy he would do best as a loyal companion to someone in a quiet home.

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community.
