My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our handsome boy, Jesse. Jesse is approx. 2 years old and currently in foster with FOBCAS, so we are really getting to know him. He is doing great in a crate and with house training. He is a happy, friendly boy. He loves playing fetch, playing with toys, chewing bones and car rides. He loves being with his people and needs to be touching or lying on his person. He is the epitome of a "lap dog." Jesse is dog friendly and currently living with a small and bigger dog and doing great with both. We think he would thrive in a home with another dog that has his same playful energy, as he loves to play with his foster sibling. No cats for this guy. He would do best in a home with older kids 8+ and a family who has patience to help him be the best version of himself. His adoption comes with 4 weeks of online training with Good Pup. If you have a fenced yard, it must be 6 ft, as he can be a bit of an escape artist, but no fence is okay if you commit to 2-3 walks daily. If you have questions about this sweet boy reach out to his foster mom at jmo94pjo@gmail.com.

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
