My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

REN is the sweetest little female black and tan tabby female kitten, with cute big ears and beautiful marbled swirls. She is very athletic and can play for hours – running jumping, and hunting are her favorite things to do! She likes running after balls, playing with fake mice, and chasing wands. She is easy-going, and loves people--as long as you play with her! She was born in foster care, and has been socialized since birth. She is fun loving, but also affectionate as well. She is everything anyone could want in an active, kitten package! REN would love to be adopted with her brother KENJI. As an energetic young kitten, she should be in a home where there is at least one other playful young kitty!

REN has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. You can meet REN at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart in South Eugene (2858 Willamette St) beginning Wednesday 1/22. Please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store, and an adoption counselor will contact you to set up a meet and greet. The $175 ($320 for a pair) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

Go meet their pets

Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 12:30-2:30pm, Sat.-Sun.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
