Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Douglas just came to us at TRACS from the south in Texas and is such a great puppy we are very happy to have him. He appears to be part retriever and possibly boxer or shepherd, and they came up to us having been labeled boxer mixes! Maybe a boxer mom or boxer dad? He is only 4 months of age. He is about 16 pounds and likely will be about 50-60 pounds or so as an adult. He is very dog friendly and people friendly and doing great with his 3 puppy sibling roommates. He is available now as he has had 2 vaccines and is safe to go out into the world. He is not yet neutered and will have to go out on a foster to adopt basis which means we co-own him until the new owner gets his surgery done using the voucher we provide for $50. At that time it is an automatic adoption. He will go home with a microchip and will also need 2 more vaccines. He can be adopted for $250. We do also have to collect a check for $125 to hold in his file as a guarantee that the surgery will be completed. Our adoption fees do vary depending on the animal and all pets go to new owners already spayed and neutered, vaccinated and wormed. All adopters are given a two week adoption trial with an exchange guarantee if the animal does not work out. We require a completed adoption application, which is on line on our website, and a signed care contract. All pets go out with a copy of their signed agreement and a copy of their medical record. Fees for adult cats are $60-75 and kittens are $75. Fees for dogs are $125 to $200 for adult mixed breed up to $300 for purebred, small dog puppies.

Go meet their pets

TRACS offers appointments daily 1-5 PM during the week excluding Mondays to see and meet adoptable pets. Tracs also adopts cats and kittens from Petsmart in Missoula, Montana. We have adoption days for dogs and cats at Petsmart additionally about 6 times a year. We also attend annual adoption events in the Missoula and Kalispell areas of Montana.

TRACS has been in operation for 7 years and we have taken in and adopted out 3000 animals (as of 11/1/2013). We are mostly volunteers and pride ourselves on the fact that we have a new facility (small and humble but very comfortable) and have had for 2 years. We are a small budget organization and we receive no municipal or county support. We totally depend on donations to keep up our good work. We accept all donations of food, bedding, litter, or anything else that folks like to give us. Of course, monetary contributions are very much needed and are fully tax deductible.
