My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penelope is a darling pup with the look of a Blue Heeler-Lab mix and a heart as big as her soulful eyes. At just a few months old, she’s the perfect blend of playful energy and snuggly sweetness, ready to find her forever family.

Smart and confident, Penelope is already showing signs of being a loyal companion who thrives on love and attention. She’s an active pup who adores exploring the outdoors but is just as happy curling up by the fire for a cozy nap.

Penelope would be a wonderful fit for an active household that enjoys outdoor adventures like hiking, running, or backyard playtime. She’s eager to learn and will do best with someone who can guide and train her as she grows. A fenced yard would be a dream for this energetic girl, and if you’re looking for a farm dog, Penelope might be the perfect match!

She’s great with other dogs and even enjoys hanging out with her foster kitty sibling. However, due to her herding tendencies, a home with older children or adults would be ideal.
Penelope is ready to bring joy, energy, and love to her new family. She can’t wait to meet you!

Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!! While we make our best guesses, we often don’t know what breeds our kiddos are made of. We cannot guarantee our guesses will always be right but CAN guarantee they are 100% good dogs! Our adoption fee is $350.

**We only adopt to families in/around Atlanta, Ga (about a 1-2 hour perimeter)**

Additional adoption info

The apps are submitted and intensely screened for general approval by a phone interview and vet check. Once approved it is sent to the foster to see if it is a match for their foster dog where another interview takes place. If both agree it seems like a good fit. A meet is scheduled where the whole potential family and any current pets meet the foster and foster dog. A home check is done. Then once both agree it is in fact a good fit, they will sign a contract, pay a fee and take the dog home that day if the foster likes, or the next day so both parties can sleep on it to make sure it's right.

More about this rescue

We are 100% volunteer run rescue saving dogs from high kill shelters throughout the state of Georgia. We do not discriminate breeds, health concerns, injury, illness or surgical need. We save all ages, sizes, breeds, etc. Once saved - they are sent straight to the vet to be fully examined, have any health concerns addressed and cleared and then sent to the foster home for evaluation. Once evaluated, we come up with a bio to determine their best fit for a forever home.
