My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Enzo James is a 9 month old golden doodle who weighs 15lbs. He is equal parts handsome and sweet and wants nothing more than to be loved. Enzo was hit by a car and suffered a fracture of his pelvis and femur. He has had surgery to repair his injuries and has done amazing with his recovery. He will need to continue to restrict his activity for the next month and will then be slowly released to being the happy, healthy puppy he once was. His activity restrictions include, no running or jumping and supervision when out of his crate. Enzo is very good at limiting his activity on his own and has not had any issues in his foster home. He is crate trained, but will need consistency with house training in his new home. Enzo gets along great with other dogs and he loves kids. Due to his continued activity restrictions, he would do best in a home with another calm and gentle dog and older kids who understand his limitations. Enzo is available for adoption with a neuter contract. Enzo is a special dog, looking for a special adopter that is willing to continue to love him back to health.

Adoption fee is: $650

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
