Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Cookie and I am a 3-4 year old Cocker Spaniel. I am petite and right under 20 lbs. I was found curled up in a ball terrified on the side of the interstate. Thankfully, a good person picked me up and got me to safety. I am now spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on prevention, have had all my shots, been groomed and I am a healthy girl!
I am a little timid and weary of new people at first, but once I know I am safe and can trust you, I am very loyal and eager to spend time with you. I am walking great on a leash and currently living in an apartment with my foster mom and foster brother. I am also learning that the crate is my bed and can be a happy place. I especially love a kong with peanut butter to pass the time! I love my blankets and toys in my crate and like it when my crate is covered like a little den because it makes me feel safe.
I am seeing that people can be kind and not scary. I love to cuddle on the couch and I am an EXPERT fetch player (yes, I bring the ball back to you). BALL IS LYFE!!!! IYKYK! I am becoming quite playful in my foster home. I am also very curious about making new friends with other dogs! I am growing in my confidence every day and proving to be a very good girl!
I would do best in a home with no small children since I am still learning to be brave. I would do great with in a family with teenagers or grown children (that respect my space and give me the time to warm up) or no children. I am ready to live out the rest of my life like the queen I am! I would like a quieter home to decompress and I need a family who will give me time to build my trust and confidence!
A person with breed experience will be given priority.
