My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** COURTESY LISTING *** PLEASE CALL OR E-MAIL THE PERSON LISTED. DO NOT CONTACT WARF AS WE HAVE NO FURTHER INFO. This is Veda. She was rescued Veda from a shelter nine months ago. She is three years old. Her vet believes she is Belgium Shepherd and pointer. Veda is an extremely sweet dog, but suffers from severe separation anxiety. Her owner works for the airlines and is not home enough for her so she has a lot of anxiety. Veda needs a home with either a retired person or someone who is home a majority of the time. Veda gets along perfectly fine with other dogs and has no problems with cats, kids and people. Veda is housebroken and also knows how to use a doggie door. She is great in the car and loves car rides and is also very good on a leash. Veda needs someone who can be there for her at all times.. Also, Veda loves blankets and cozy up next to you on the couch. Her owner would send her with two dog beds that she loves and her blankets as well as her food and water dishes. We have a network of foster homes where the animals reside while waiting for adoption. Our website is kept updated with adoptable animals. We are building a sanctuary which will house adoptable animals and permanent residents.

On occasion we do adoptions at various locations. Check our website or Facebook for details.

More about this shelter

Our mission: To provide safe and loving homes for animals who would otherwise be destined for euthanasia. To provide education regarding responsible pet care guidelines including the importance of training, veterinary care, exercise, socialization and companionship. To promote community awareness of the problems contributing to the vicious cycle of pet overpopulation and provide low cost spay.neuter options.
